3 FANCY TOASTS TO IMPRESS

One thing I’m absolutely obsessed with is BREAD. It’s kind of a problem for me... This year on my birthday I had a loaf of tartine bread instead of a cake. And it was fantastic(also my friends we’re totally into it #squadgoals). So as you can imagine I eat a lot of toast. Toast is basically the best way to eat anything; breakfast toast, lunch toast, dinner toast, snack toast, I’m a fan of all of it.

So I’ve partnered with my friends at MiaBella to bring you 3 no fuss fancy toasts!

These toasts make a perfect breakfast to impress all of your upcoming holiday guests without getting to crazy in the kitchen.

We made everyone’s childhood favorite(but so much better!) Cinnamon Sugar Toast, a Cream Cheese Toast, and for the true foodies out there an Olive Oil Toast. The best part is you can whip these up in less time then it takes to brew a full pot of coffee, which leaves more time for actually hanging out with your guests, and mimosas.

The key to these toasts is getting a quality loaf of bread from your local bakery for your base. This time around I bought a beautiful sandwich loaf of sourdough bread from Devil’s Teeth Baking Company and sliced it myself so we could have big beautiful pieces of toast to load up. But you can easily create these toasts with rye, or whole wheat.  Equally as important as your loaf selection is having our little “secret" ingredient on hand; MiaBella Fluer De Sel! Seriously the Fluer De Sel is what makes the cinnamon toast too good for kids, brings the flavor out of the Olive Oil toast, and on the cream cheese toast… it will change your view on buying bagels forever. After all good salt just makes food taste more like food!

Depending on how many guests you are making breakfast for you could make these to order(because they are THAT EASY!) or set out a platter of pre-made toasts guests can help themselves to. Then just add some fruit and coffee and your guests will be singing your praises well into the new year.

To get started slice as many pieces of toast as you’d like to serve and line them up on a baking sheet. Put the bread under the broiler for a few minutes until bread is the desired amount of toasty-ness. From there you’re ready to make any of the following toast recipes.

Cinnamon Sugar Toast -

Ingredients:

  • Toasted Bread
  • Butter
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar
  • MiaBella Fluer De Sel

Instructions:

  1.  In a bowl combine cinnamon and sugar (roughly 3 parts sugar to 1 part cinnamon).
  2.  Spread butter on warm toast, allowing to melt in.
  3. Top buttered toast with cinnamon sugar mixture. You want a nice thick layer of cinnamon sugar if you think it’s too much, that’s probably just right.
  4. Then return toast to baking sheet and place under the broiler for approximately 3 minutes until the sugar has cartelized into a crust.
  5. Top toast with a sprinkling of MiaBella Fluer De Sel and serve!

Cream Cheese Toast -

Ingredients:

  • Toasted Bread
  • Cream Cheese
  • Cracked Black Pepper
  • MiaBella Fluer De Sel

Instructions:

  1. Spread a heaping amount of cream cheese on to toast.
  2. Top generously with Cracked Black Pepper and Mia Bella Fluer De Sel
  3. Serve! Yes, this one is that simple.

Olive Oil Toast -

Ingredients:

  • Toasted Bread
  • High Quality Olive Oil
  • Cracked Black Pepper
  • Mia Bella Fluer De Sel

Instructions:

  1. Fill a plate larger then your slice of bread with a pool of olive oil
  2. Lay toast in olive oil, allowing bread to soak up oil for a moment.
  3. Remove toast from oil, and top generously with cracked black pepper and MiaBella Fluer De Sel and serve!
